2nd Annual 5K Homeward Bound Walk

     Thanks, from Homeward Bound Walk 2010, to the community of Walkers and Sponsors who raised $8,325 in donations and in-kind gifts for Alternatives, Inc, American Red Cross of North Central Indiana, CAM, Inc, Habitat for Humanity of Kokomo, Habitat for Humanity of Tipton County, and Mustard Seed.

     With two counties and six agencies working together, the winning Church with the most Walkers was Rock Prairie.  The Team raising the most money was Liberty Baptist, followed closely by Rock Prairie and Walkin’ Home.  The winning Walker who raised the most money was Amanda Simo, followed by Heidi Bryant and Korey Henderson. 

     With the support of the Statewide Coordinating Agency, IACED, and the gift of being our fiduciary - Tipton Community Foundation, our continuing Lead Sponsor was Encompass Credit Union.  In order of giving, our Sponsors were Nick Pate Insurance, Zakfest, Therapeutic Touch, Anonymous, Community First Bank, Stout and Son Funeral Home, Wyman Group, Elwood Fire Department Ladies Auxilary, Lodge 109 FOP, Phifer Insurance, Faith Counseling Services, Rayl Realty, Tipton County Memorial Hospital, Napa Auto Parts, and Moser Jewelers; in-kind gifts from Sir Speedy, McCormack Printing Impressions, Coca-Cola Bottling Company, Horton’s Hardware, Rabb Culligan, Marsh, Wal-Mart, Meijer, and Sam’s Club.   

     We had 13 Walk Teams and Leaders – Clark’s Cubs, Christy Clark; Emanuel Lutheran, Lisa Ferguson; Girl Scout Troop 3035, Amy Lusko; Renee & Doug Hartman; JMAC Construction, Jon McCord; Kokomo First Christian, Will Jewsbury; Liberty Baptist, Debbie Titus; Rock Prairie, Amber Tolle; Team Habitat Kokomo-Pate, Amy Pate; Tipton County Fraternal Order of Police, Korey Henderson; Walk For Friends, Melody Imbler; Walk This Way, Amy Bond; and Walkin’ Home, Heidi Bryant.

     21 Volunteers - Cory, Darrin Bogue, Mike Collins, Steve Currens, James Foran, Pam Grant, Nell Jean Lowry,  John Mare, Melody Nelson, Garrie Nelson, Shirley Miller, Rosemary Quakenbush, Lexi Reed, Jayne Reed, Barb Sehr, Steve Titus, David Wells, Bill Welsh, Teddy White, Yolanda Wilson, and Carlos Zapata.

     Special Thanks to the City of Tipton,  Tipton Park Board, Tipton Emergency Management, Steve Coverdale our MC, and great music provided by Abundant Life Church Worship Team.
