CAM Christmas Party 2010

CAM Christmas Party 2010
CAM Annual Christmas Party happened Thursday, December 23, 2010. Over 300 CAM Clients attended at Grace United Methodist Church with 73 Volunteers serving, working,
and donating food. This is quite an event, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m., especially important for children during this time of year and also those individuals who would be all alone without CAM, “special food” and one designated gift for them.
CAM Clients signed up for 424 individualized gifts. These gift tags were purchased by churches and organizations in our community, retagged with the Client’s name, and given out at the Christmas party.

Redeemer Lutheran School children, instead of giving an exchange gift to each other, generously bought gifts and gave them for the CAM Santa Shop. Parents with shared custody and children not registered in the parent’s home, could not sign up anywhere for gifts for their own children. Also, many Clients are very close to their grandchildren, yet cannot afford to buy gifts. So, since 1998, this Santa Shop has filled a great need – over 200 gifts were chosen.

The tables were beautifully decorated by the Realtor’s Association, the food was terrific, and with Santa Claus, “Elvis”, Clowns to paint faces and make balloon gifts, craft table for the children, Santa’s Chimney to fish for gifts, porcelain dolls matched out, and Santa’s Shop – it was quite a party!
